Project Description:

The ULCOS project is a European project lead, in France, by Arcelor-Mittal (AM) with objectives to reduce CO2 emissions

One of the options studied by the ULCOS project is an innovating process of blast furnace with recycle, associated with the capture and storage of CO2. Scope of work within the ULCOS-BF project was the CO2 compression unit.

Mission:

The objectives of this Final Compression of CO2 project are: Conduct a preliminary market survey and perform a technical and economic comparison between two different compression strategies in order to select the optimum scheme for the Project.

Once selection of the compressor was completed, the final objective consisted in developing the FEED package.
