GAIA-FRAMATOME

GAIA-FRAMATOME

Project Description:

The “GAIA” Project consists of the expansion and implementation of new production lines at the Framatome site in Romans-sur-Isère. These new lines are intended to manufacture the new GAIA-design mechanical components (e.g., “GAIA mixing grids,” “GAIA-type skeletons”) and to provide the necessary equipment to accommodate increased workload related to the “GAIA” product and/or the overall increase in production capacity across all designs.

As part of this project, PARLYM entrusted us with the execution of part of the engineering services related to the Electrical Installation Engineering (EIA), for the final client Framatome.

Project scope of work:

Development of six workshop layout scenarios for the manufacturing of components intended for nuclear fuel assembly construction, including:

  • Preparation of load lists and power balance calculations.
  • Design of the single-line diagrams (SLDs).
  • Cable sizing and preparation of the associated calculation notes.
  • Cable routing layout design.
  • Preparation of the cable schedule.

Our Strengths on This Project:

  • Capability in designing and sizing electrical installations tailored to nuclear production requirements.
  • Effective collaboration with client and partner teams (PARLYM, Framatome) to ensure compliance and high-quality deliverables.
