Mission:

The project aims at decarbonizing the Cement plant, by installing an electrolyzer, together with CO2 capture facility (CCU), coupled with a unit of CO2 conversion to Methanol (MPU).

The principle is to recover the CO2 emissions produced by the cement plant's furnace by combining it with hydrogen produced from an electrolysis plant, in order to produce low carbon methanol. The required power for the new facilities will be supplied from carbon-free electricity. O2 by-product valorization study is made vs venting.

L’alimentation électrique nécessaire aux nouvelles installations sera fournie à partir d’une électricité produite sans carbone.

Une étude de valorisation du sous-produit O₂ est réalisée, en comparaison avec un scénario de rejet à l’atmosphère (Venting).
